I decided to rebrand Birmingham for my Senior Project at Auburn University in 2014. I have included a few pieces of that project in my portfolio today.
My designer statement was as follows:
Birmingham, Alabama is an up and coming city infused with both history and innovation. Often known as The Magic City, or The Iron City, Birmingham is quickly becoming a hot spot for young professionals as well as a popular travel destination. However, Birmingham was in need of a fresh branding campaign. The rebrand of Birmingham captures the vibrancy of the evolving city, and reflects it’s classic, industrial charm. The rebrand distinguishes Birmingham from other big southern cities, while creating positivity towards the new Birmingham.
